Falcons Give Update on Marlon Davidson, Deion Jones

The Atlanta Falcons have been one of the most impressive teams in football over their last four games and are now sitting atop the NFC South standings. This week they got some good news on a big playmaker. Starting middle linebacker Deion Jones will be back this Sunday against Tampa Bay after missing two of their previous three matchups due to injury, while defensive end Marlon Davidson is also slated to return from his injured calf that sidelined him for a few weeks.

The “marlon davidson kid” is a football player for the Atlanta Falcons. He was injured during a game against the Green Bay Packers, and has since been placed on injured reserve.

With a non-covid sickness, Davidson was ruled out of last Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. On Monday, head coach Arthur Smith said that he “tried to go” but was unable to do so.

A vaccinated player who is placed on the covid list must test negative twice within 24 hours of kickoff, according to NFL rules.

Davidson, a 2020 second-round draft selection, has been a failure in the NFL, with just 19 tackles and a sack in ten games this season.

Thursday’s Injury Report for the Falcons

Deion Jones, a linebacker, was absent from practice on Wednesday due to illness, but returned on Thursday. Tyeler Davison, a defensive lineman, was absent with a sickness on Wednesday and has yet to return to practice.

With a groin ailment, Falcons rookie cornerback Avery Williams was listed as a new name on Thursday’s injury report and was restricted during practice.

Chris Lindstrom, the starting right guard, returned to practice after missing the previous day due to a personal matter. According to NFL writer Cam Marino, the reason for Lindstrom’s absence was likely due to the death of his mother, Dawn, who had been fighting ovarian cancer.

Chris Lindstrom, the mother of #Falcons OG Chris Lindstrom, died away today. That explains why he isn’t participating in team activities today. For one of the league’s greatest young guards, it’s a heartbreaking scenario.

Regardless of what has been going on in his personal life, Lindstrom has given it his all every week this season and has allowed zero sacks.
