The Real Housewives of New Jersey has been on a long hiatus, but the cast is still feuding. Melissa Gorga may have recently scored a victory over Teresa Giudice by landing an exclusive interview with People magazine, but things didn’t start off so smoothly.
Real Housewives star Teresa Giudice is known for stirring the pot, and in her recent interview with The Daily Dish she called Real Housewife Melissa Gorga a “fake” after watching RHONY season 10. Despite all the drama, will Melissa still want to be friends with Teresa?

Teresa Giudice’s recent statement on Melissa Gorga’s experience on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” prompted Melissa Gorga to respond.
Melissa, who is married to Teresa’s brother Joe Gorga, joined the Bravo reality program’s full-time cast in 2011, two years after Teresa made her first appearance on the show in its first season, according to IMDb.
Teresa’s sister-in-presence law’s on the show has long been a source of contention, and Melissa’s status as a “OG” Housewife was called into doubt when the two ladies were cast in the Peacock spinoff “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.”
Teresa from RHONJ, Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer from “The Real Housewives of New York City,” and Kyle Richards from “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” OG Kyle Richards all appear in the Housewives mashup, which was taped earlier this year in Turks and Caicos. Teresa, on the other hand, took issue with Melissa’s position on the program.
Teresa said that her sister-in-law isn’t an original.
Teresa is seen remarking on the ladies on the “RHUGT” cast in a teaser published on Twitter.
“They’re not all OGs,” she continues, her voice irritated. “Melissa isn’t an original.” “Just a thought.”
Teresa’s labeling Melissa as “not an OG” was suspicious, especially because the cast also includes “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast members Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey, who both joined the series late. Teresa has alleged that Melissa was cast on RHONJ behind her back, so this isn’t surprising. She brought up the topic at BravoCon in 2019, according to BravoTV.com.
“Well, sadly, it was the one terrible thing for me during this whole program, not just the legal things, but the familial aspect,” she remarked of her brother Joe and his wife Melissa joining the cast in season 3. My family secretly appeared on the program, which was the worst thing that could have happened to me. That is why I no longer communicate with [my cousin] Kathy [Wakile]. Because I don’t want relatives like that, I’ll never talk to her or [my cousin] Rosie [Pierri]. But I forgiven my brother and Melissa, as well as my parents.”
She also alleged that Melissa exaggerated a narrative about cookies she brought to a Christmas Eve family gathering in order to get attention– and a position on the Housewives.
“She came here on Christmas Eve, pregnant, and she brought sprinkle cookies from ShopRite – in the plastic container!” Teresa remembered something. “So I told her respectfully, ‘Next time, bring bakery cookies,’” she says. So she turned it into a huge thing, posted it on Facebook, and it caught Bravo’s attention. “And the rest, as they say, is history.”
Teresa Objected to Melissa’s Appearance on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Melissa had a few things to say about the Bravo ladies trip cast, as well as her sister-in-perspective law’s on how she got there. The RHONJ star revealed in an interview with Us Weekly that she was “interested” to see whether ladies from various Bravo towns would “team up,” but that the cities that aced together “in pairs” – like her and Teresa – ended up having the greatest tension.
Teresa’s remark regarding her not being an original cast member was then addressed by her.
“Whenever we’re going to breach the fourth wall, it always comes back to, ‘How did you get on the show?’” Melissa remarked. “And then it devolves into a debate that Teresa and I will never be able to agree on.” So we had that chat again, and I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. But it’s one of those situations where I believe Teresa still refuses to embrace the fact that I’m on the show and that I’m on the program fairly.”
